Terms of use
What this is
Dtails is a digital business card application, provided as it is, while in development. These terms describe the arrangement in plain words. They are not a substitute for legal advice, and anyone operating Dtails as a commercial service should have proper terms drafted.
Your account
You are responsible for what you publish on your cards and for keeping your password to yourself.
One account is for one person. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not publish someone else’s details as your own.
The details other people give you
Leads collected through your card are personal data about real people. Use them for the follow-up those people agreed to, and nothing else.
Do not add them to a mailing list they did not ask for, and do not pass them on or sell them.
If someone asks you to delete their details, delete them. The dashboard lets you do that for any lead.
Acceptable use
No unlawful, deceptive or harassing content, and no malware or phishing links.
Do not use Dtails to collect sensitive information such as financial, health or government identifiers. The lead form is for professional contact details.
Do not attempt to reach other accounts’ data, and do not try to circumvent rate limits.
Availability
This is pre-release software. There is no uptime guarantee, no warranty and no support commitment.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose; leads export as CSV at any time.
Ending it
You can delete your account from Settings at any time, which removes your cards, leads, contacts and analytics permanently.
An account may be suspended if it is used in a way that breaks these terms.
